Peinado
The house history starts in the XIX century, 1820, with Juan Antonio Peinado. In the beginning he was producer of schnapps to be sold in the local market. Peinado’s schnapps became popular in western France, supplying the liquors to make Cognac during the philoxera epidemic. With the surplus of the schnapps, he started, as recommended by his clients, to produce liquors in the same style as the French ones. This evolve into the production of high quality Cognac, but name had to be changed in 1972.
The purity of Brandy Peinado is excellent, with a limited production and the oaking of the product using the solera system.
